ABOUT US.

The capital market has been the driving force behind Malaysia’s remarkable economic growth, providing not only opportunities for job creation but also raising living standards for its citizens. As the capital market continues to evolve, it is becoming increasingly accessible to both local and international investors. This presents a critical opportunity to invest in growth-enhancing activities that can drive the industry’s sustainability and shape its future.

To achieve this, it is imperative to develop a sustainable talent pool that can keep up with industry trends such as Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) and digital transformation.

Such a talent pool will be critical in assuring the industry’s sustainable development, improving the competitiveness of the capital markets and promoting long-term growth in Malaysia. This is where the InvestED programme, a NextGen Capital Market Talent initiative by Securities Commission Malaysia, comes in.

The InvestED programme is a large-scale, multi-faceted capacity building roadmap designed to nurture a pipeline of talented individuals who have the potential of becoming the next generation of leaders in Malaysian capital market.

By fostering cooperation and collaboration between capital market institutions and universities, this initiative will improve the employability of graduates in the capital market and beyond. A Malaysia MADANI initiative, the 3-year programme aims to enhance the capital market knowledge of 9,000 students, creating job opportunities for 600 graduates via its Leadership Programme. Additionally, up to 2,400 graduates can benefit from the structured certification programme, known as the Foundation Programme.

With the support of Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Higher Education, the industry will be able to continue shaping Malaysia’s economic development journey, creating a better future for all Malaysians.
